Thv11.com Subject/verb Agreement

There are two subjects. Because of this compound subject, the proper verb is "go" rather than "goes."

Nauseous vs. Nauseated

If the man "got nauseous," he was making other people sick. Likely, he was the one who was sick. That means he was nauseated. #grammarfail #nomadsnonsense #nauseatedvsnauseous #

Sugar and Spice

1. A comma should precede the coordinating conjunction "but" since it is connecting two independent clauses. 2. The "i" in "I'm" should be capitalized. 3. There is a plural/compound subject; therefore, the verb should be the word are not the word is. 4. A comma isn't enough glue to put two independent clauses together. This comma should be a period or semicolon. 5. "Because" should not be capitalized. #nomadsnonsense #grammarfails

Less Than vs. Fewer Than

If you can count something, you should use the word fewer. Since we can count years, the circled word should be fewer not less. #nomadsnonsense #grammarfails #lessandfewer #cnn

Clarkson Giving Birth Onstage?

I doubt Kelly Clarkson is planning to birth her child while she is onstage as this misplaced modifier suggests. She likely was onstage when she announced she was pregnant. Be careful with the placement of those adverbs.

Plural Police

"Police" is a collective noun that is treated as a plural noun; therefore, this post should be written as "Police say." Here is a link to an explanation:  http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/words/matching-verbs-to-collective-nouns-american  #nomadsnonsense  #agreeinnumber #thv #kthv

Comma Error

This comma before the prepositional phrases is unnecessary and incorrect. #nomadsnonsense #grammar #commaerrors

You CAN Change the Pronoun

While I agree with the sentiment of this meme, I bristle at the grammar error. An antecedent is the word or words that a pronoun represents. For instance, in a sentence such as, the child was crying because he was tired, he is a pronoun. The antecedent of that pronoun is child. Both the word child and the word he are singular.  Since they are both singular, they agree in number. In this picture, "their" is a pronoun. The antecedent is "someone." Their is plural. Someone is singular. They do not agree in number. One of the two words should be changed to make them agree. #pronouns #antecedents #agreeinnumber #nomadsnonsense  #grammar

Cent Sign

According to this sign, soft drinks cost 89 out of 100 parts of a penny. Good luck getting change when the smallest change you have is a penny. By leaving off the cent sign and adding a dollar sign to the left of the decimal, the writer would communicate that the drink costs 89 parts (pennies) out of 100 parts of a dollar.  #nomadsnonsense  #mcdonalds #cheapsoda

Great Wall Buffet Errors

"EXTRA ADDITIONAL" is redundant. Don't be redundant and repeat yourself. I imagine the fourth one read with a threatening, foreboding voice. (There are other errors.)
