Okay, seriously, the laying and lying thing has always created a whirlwind in my brain.
Me to my toddler: I'm not lying when I say it's time for you to lie down. Lay your toy on the table.
I have no idea what's correct there.
Two things that irk me: 1 - further and farther. Further is the intangible. Farther is the actual distance. And yet more often than not, people say further. They should further their education on the words for and farther.
2 - Shoot. I forgot the other one. I'll think of it later.
"NO LAYING DOWN" should be "NO LYING DOWN."
